Professional Development StandardAVRBC promotes excellence in the management of volunteer resources, and therefore encourages its members to pursue professional development opportunities. AVRBC encourages each member to participate in 20 hours of continuing education every year. Members are encouraged to seek growth and learning opportunities and AVRBC acknowledges that learning and development can come from a variety of sources including: AVRBC regional meetings, volunteer management conferences, courses, workshops, books, and articles. Members may choose to develop a personal learning plan that involves a mix of these learning contexts.
